Changing the name of a boat can be risky business. There is a whole ritual involved including removing "all" evidence of the previous name and ending with an "offering" to Neptune. Don't worry, no humans or animals were offered. Just a generous portion of rum poured overboard on our maiden voyage and Neptune was happy!
Formally known as "Sea Rose" we decided to find a name more fitting and meaningful to us. Since there were going to be two dogs and a kitty living full time on board with us, there will definitely be more "paws" than feet. So, we decided on "Salty Paws".

March 2018. We had some unexpected visitors while mooring in the Warderick Wells mooring field. They decided to stick around for 7 or so hours. I'm sure they were hoping for a free meal. Nerve wracking to have them circling under our boat for sure, but watching them glide around in the dark, illuminated water also gave us a peaceful, majestic feeling at the same time.
